Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Høystakker, Rydal, Cumbria (Haystacks, Rydal, Cumbria) by Thomas Fearnley was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,925.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Fearnley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arco naturale, Capri. in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 81,250.00.

Die Arbeit Høystakker, Rydal, Cumbria (Haystacks, Rydal, Cumbria) von Thomas Fearnley kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.925,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Fearnley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arco naturale, Capri. im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 81.250,00.
