Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Ruby by Thomas Cooper Gotch. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,368.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Cooper Gotch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dawn of Womanhood in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 112,500.00 (€ 126,137.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruby von Thomas Cooper Gotch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.368,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Cooper Gotch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dawn of Womanhood im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 112.500,00 (€ 126.137,24).
