Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work School time in Noyers, Burgundy, France by Thomas Bowman Garvie was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 289.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Bowman Garvie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Sketch Of Isabella Grey In The Drawing Room At Whalton Manor House, Seated In A Wicker Chair Holding A Tennis Racket in December 2003 with an auction result of AUD 12,925.00 (€ 7,715.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit School time in Noyers, Burgundy, France von Thomas Bowman Garvie im September 2010 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
