This artwork by Thom Thom achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2012. In the Street Art “Paint B.A.L.” Sale Benefiting to Musée en Herbe auction, the work Boîte Aux Lettres sold for EUR 3,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,001.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thom Thom; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marion Statoil, 2010 sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of EUR 3,060.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thom Thom erzielte im März 2012 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Street Art “Paint B.A.L.” Sale Benefiting to Musée en Herbe wurde die Arbeit Boîte Aux Lettres für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.001,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thom Thom; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marion Statoil, 2010 im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 3.060,00.
