Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work One Million Dollar, 2010 by Thierry Michelet was worth EUR 3,000.00 to a buyer in March 2011. This price was achieved in the auction “Cent Briques pour Madagascar” Sale Benefiting to Association Ecoles du Monde at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 501.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thierry Michelet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot One Million Dollars - 2012 One Million Dollars-2012 sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of EUR 3,400.00.
