Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Sheep Drawing #19 by Theodore Waddell for USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,112.21). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Theodore Waddell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse #47, 1989 in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 11,950.00 (€ 10,640.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sheep Drawing #19 von Theodore Waddell für USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.112,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodore Waddell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse #47, 1989 im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 10.640,19).
