Auction result misses estimated price range

In December 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work View of Brissac with figures on the embankment pulling a boat along the River Loire by Théodore Jung for GBP 456.00 (€ 661.86). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Pictures & Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Théodore Jung have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2004 by the work The Crimean War: The Battle of Inkerman, 24Th October 1854 at GBP 501.90 (€ 731.20).

Im Dezember 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of Brissac with figures on the embankment pulling a boat along the River Loire von Théodore Jung für GBP 456,00 (€ 661,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Pictures & Drawings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00.
