Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Un cheval près d'une charrue dans un paysage avec une maison dans le fond by Theodore Fort for EUR 293.75. This price was achieved in the auction INTERIEURS at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Theodore Fort have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2004 by the work A Grey Mare Galloping Through A Meadow With Her Foal At Her Side at GBP 298.75 (€ 435.24).
