In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work The Penitent Mary Magdalen by Theodoor van Thulden. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theodoor van Thulden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Adonis in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 64,502.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Mary Magdalen von Theodoor van Thulden zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodoor van Thulden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venus And Adonis im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 64.502,72).
