Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work 26.VI.62 by Thea Ekström for USD 375.00 (€ 269.90). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Thea Ekström have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "18 VII" in September this year with an auction result of SEK 18,000.00 (€ 1,561.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 26.VI.62 von Thea Ekström für USD 375,00 (€ 269,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thea Ekström auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "18 VII" im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 18.000,00 (€ 1.561,22).
