A top price for The Monogrammist I.W. - as previously expected
The work Lucretia by The Monogrammist I.W. was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 389,000.00 (€ 551,471.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lucretia is the most expensive artwork by The Monogrammist I.W. that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Lucretia von The Monogrammist I.W. kam im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 389.000,00 (€ 551.471,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Lucretia das teuerste Kunstwerk von The Monogrammist I.W., das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
