In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Christ And The Samaritan Woman At The Well by The Master Of The Twelve Apostles. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 19,843.79), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by The Master Of The Twelve Apostles; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Saint Catherine Of Alexandria sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of USD 25,200.00 (€ 24,071.07).

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ And The Samaritan Woman At The Well von The Master Of The Twelve Apostles zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 19.843,79) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von The Master Of The Twelve Apostles; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Saint Catherine Of Alexandria im Juni letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 24.071,07).
