Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Part II, which included the work Saint Dorothy And Saint Anthony Abbot by The Master of The Ashmolean Predella. The price achieved of USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,307.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by The Master of The Ashmolean Predella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna and Child enthroned with Saints John the Baptist, Peter, Lawrence, Zenobius, Catherine of Alexandria, Lucy, Anthony Abbot and Eustace, with angels in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 184,782.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Dorothy And Saint Anthony Abbot von The Master of The Ashmolean Predella zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.307,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von The Master of The Ashmolean Predella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna and Child enthroned with Saints John the Baptist, Peter, Lawrence, Zenobius, Catherine of Alexandria, Lucy, Anthony Abbot and Eustace, with angels im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 184.782,56).
