Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The wing of an altarpiece: The Meeting of Abraham and Melchizedek (verso); and Christ before Pilate (recto) by The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 48,899.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A triptych: the central panel: The Crucifixion; the wings: the inner faces: A Donor, Saint James, a Carthusian monk with an angel and Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane; A Donor, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, a beggar with an angel and Christ Appearing to M in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The wing of an altarpiece: The Meeting of Abraham and Melchizedek (verso); and Christ before Pilate (recto) von The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A triptych: the central panel: The Crucifixion; the wings: the inner faces: A Donor, Saint James, a Carthusian monk with an angel and Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane; A Donor, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, a beggar with an angel and Christ Appearing to M im Juli 20
