A top price for Tesfaye Tessema - as previously expected
The work The Man with Horn by Tesfaye Tessema was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,950.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Man with Horn is the most expensive artwork by Tesfaye Tessema that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Man with Horn von Tesfaye Tessema kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.950,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Man with Horn das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tesfaye Tessema, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
