Auction result well in line with expectations
The work After Gorse Fires by Terence P. Flanagan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,177.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Terence P. Flanagan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boglands 4 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit After Gorse Fires von Terence P. Flanagan kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.177,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Terence P. Flanagan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boglands 4 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10).
