The work Settignano by Telemaco Signorini was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2004. It achieved a price of EUR 43,400.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Telemaco Signorini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Una via di Firenze (La casa di Dante da Castiglione nel mercato vecchio di Firenze), 1881 circa., which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 160,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Settignano von Telemaco Signorini kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 43.400,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Telemaco Signorini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Una via di Firenze (La casa di Dante da Castiglione nel mercato vecchio di Firenze), 1881 circa. beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 160.100,00 versteigert wurde.
