Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tania Marmolejo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. In the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction, the work So Close And Yet So Far sold for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 62,888.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tania Marmolejo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Surprise Conclusion in April this year with an auction result of HKD 456,000.00 (€ 465,665.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tania Marmolejo erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit So Close And Yet So Far für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 62.888,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tania Marmolejo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Surprise Conclusion im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 456.000,00 (€ 465.665,22).
