Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Works of Art, which included the work Withered Tree, Rocks, And Bamboo by Tani Buncho. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,283.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tani Buncho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Geese in marsh in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,410.31).
