Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tang Luming could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work God of Longevity with a Deer, 1873 changed hands for USD 892.50 (€ 804.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Luming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies, Flowers and Animals in November 2020 with an auction result of HKD 352,500.00 (€ 38,058.67).
