Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tan Ping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work UNTITLED; & UNTITLED sold for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 36,557.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tan Ping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yi Jian Mei, a Title for a Poem and Song in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,830,000.00 (€ 238,936.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tan Ping erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit UNTITLED; & UNTITLED für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 36.557,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tan Ping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yi Jian Mei, a Title for a Poem and Song im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.830.000,00 (€ 238.936,95).
