A top price for Tamara de Lempicka
The work Portrait de Marjorie Ferry by Tamara de Lempicka was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,380,000.00 (€ 18,984,457.14), 37% above the upper estimate. With this result, Portrait de Marjorie Ferry is even the most expensive work of art by Tamara de Lempicka that we have observed at auctions so far.
