In April 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art, which included the work Nobody is in the city by Tahereh Samadi Tari. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,482.09), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tahereh Samadi Tari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (from the Unknown Destination series), which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,173.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nobody is in the city von Tahereh Samadi Tari zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.482,09) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tahereh Samadi Tari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (from the Unknown Destination series) beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.173,41) versteigert wurde.
