Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Stories In The Harem by Symeon Sabbides. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,716.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Symeon Sabbides achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Oriental Scene In A Mosque'S Precinct in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 248,162.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Stories In The Harem von Symeon Sabbides zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.716,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Symeon Sabbides erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Oriental Scene In A Mosque'S Precinct im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 248.162,68).
