A top price for Syed Saleem Arif Quadri - as previously expected
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Landscape Within by Syed Saleem Arif Quadri. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,249.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscape Within is the most expensive artwork by Syed Saleem Arif Quadri that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape Within von Syed Saleem Arif Quadri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.249,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Landscape Within das teuerste Kunstwerk von Syed Saleem Arif Quadri, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
