Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Winding the clock by Suze Robertson was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 937.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suze Robertson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Melk voor de poes in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 25,744.40 (€ 12,356.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Winding the clock von Suze Robertson im September 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 937,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suze Robertson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Melk voor de poes im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 25.744,40 (€ 12.356,46).
