The work Stoking the fire by Suze Robertson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. It achieved a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,713.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Suze Robertson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Melk voor de poes in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 25,744.40 (€ 12,356.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stoking the fire von Suze Robertson kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.713,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suze Robertson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Melk voor de poes im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 25.744,40 (€ 12.356,46).
