Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Susan Norrie could be acquired at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction, the work Inflation Note changed hands for AUD 1,195.00 (€ 718.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Susan Norrie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pageant I, 1987 in November 2018 with an auction result of AUD 40,260.00 (€ 35,555.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Susan Norrie konnte im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II wechselte die Arbeit Inflation Note für AUD 1.195,00 (€ 718,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Susan Norrie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pageant I, 1987 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 40.260,00 (€ 35.555,95).
