In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Playing with Parrot by Sun Yunsheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,252.41), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sun Yunsheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 40,167.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Playing with Parrot von Sun Yunsheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.252,41) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Yunsheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 40.167,08).
