Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work (I) Traditional Architecture (Ii) Chinese Opera by Sun Yee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72). Admittedly, works by Sun Yee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Medley Of Dances in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit (I) Traditional Architecture (Ii) Chinese Opera von Sun Yee im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Yee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Medley Of Dances im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 58.014,58).
