A top price for Suh Yong - as previously expected
The work Origin of Karma 0706 & 0708 by Suh Yong was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 367,500.00 (€ 30,254.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Origin of Karma 0706 & 0708 is the most expensive artwork by Suh Yong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Origin of Karma 0706 & 0708 von Suh Yong wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 367.500,00 (€ 30.254,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Origin of Karma 0706 & 0708 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Suh Yong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
