The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,511.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sudhir Ranjan Khastgir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Lady With Bird), which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,133.45).
