Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Audrey, Vanity Fair, 1991 by Steven Meisel was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,562.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Meisel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work CK One, New York City in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,136.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Audrey, Vanity Fair, 1991 von Steven Meisel kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.562,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Meisel erzielen.
