Auction result well in line with expectations
The work M.F.'S Lamp by Stephen McKenna was sold in the Irish Sale Part II auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,656.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen McKenna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Acrobat, which sold at auction in January 2020 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,381.75).

Die Arbeit M.F.'S Lamp von Stephen McKenna wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Irish Sale Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.656,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen McKenna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Acrobat beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.381,75) versteigert wurde.
