Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition by Stephen Gilbert was sold in the Made in Britain / Online auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,101.92). Admittedly, works by Stephen Gilbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man and Horse in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,722.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition von Stephen Gilbert wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Made in Britain / Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.101,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Gilbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man and Horse im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.722,34).
