It achieved a price of USD 16,575.00 (€ 15,730.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Stephen De Staebler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Archangel in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 91,057.76).

Die Arbeit Torso with Springing Hip, 1987-89 von Stephen De Staebler kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.575,00 (€ 15.730,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen De Staebler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Archangel im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 91.057,76).
