In June 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, which included the work Fleeing sheep by Stefano Bruzzi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,221.06), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Stefano Bruzzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ritorno dal mercato, (1885-1890) in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 90,650,000.00 (€ 81,473.99).

Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fleeing sheep von Stefano Bruzzi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.221,06) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stefano Bruzzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ritorno dal mercato, (1885-1890) im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 90.650.000,00 (€ 81.473,99).
