In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale, which included the work Ballet by Stanislaus Soutten Longley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,331.23), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stanislaus Soutten Longley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Under the stars, which sold at auction in September 2014 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,743.35).

Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ballet von Stanislaus Soutten Longley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.331,23) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Stanislaus Soutten Longley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Under the stars beobachtet, die im September 2014 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.743,35) versteigert wurde.
