Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work L'arresto dei briganti by Stanislao Grimaldi was auctioned at Il Ponte in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,600.00. Other works by Stanislao Grimaldi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December last year by the work Scontro a fuoco tra Carabinieri e briganti at EUR 2,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit L'arresto dei briganti von Stanislao Grimaldi im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.600,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Stanislao Grimaldi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres die Arbeit Scontro a fuoco tra Carabinieri e briganti mit EUR 2.400,00.
