Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sophie Clémence Delacazette; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A young lady, facing right in white dress with puffed sleeves, fichu caught in her blue sash, turquoise stole draped over her left shoulder, her brown hair tightly curled and upswept in an Apollo knot sold at auction in May 2000 with the realized price of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 7,918.86).
