A top price for Sompot Upa-In - as previously expected
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session), which included this untitled work by Sompot Upa-In. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,889.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Sompot Upa-In that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sompot Upa-In zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.889,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sompot Upa-In, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
