Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kings of Hollywood (Clark Gable, Van Heflin, Gary Cooper and James Stewart), Romanoff's, New Year's Eve by Slim Aarons was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,333.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Slim Aarons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poolside Gossip, 1970 in April last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kings of Hollywood (Clark Gable, Van Heflin, Gary Cooper and James Stewart), Romanoff's, New Year's Eve von Slim Aarons kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.333,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Slim Aarons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poolside Gossip, 1970 im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.265,16).
