Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchid And Bamboo / Orchid And Peony by Situ Qi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 10,625.00 (€ 1,132.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Situ Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cotton Tree Blossoms in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 178,040.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchid And Bamboo / Orchid And Peony von Situ Qi kam im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 10.625,00 (€ 1.132,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Situ Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cotton Tree Blossoms im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 178.040,60).
