Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Flowers by Situ Qi was worth HKD 37,760.00 (€ 3,984.28) to a buyer in April 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Situ Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cotton Tree Blossoms in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 178,040.60).

Die Arbeit Flowers von Situ Qi war einem Käufer im April 2018 HKD 37.760,00 (€ 3.984,28) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Situ Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cotton Tree Blossoms im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 178.040,60).
