Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Temple village by William George Gillies was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 828.75 (€ 964.27). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William George Gillies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spotted Leopard in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,139.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Temple village von William George Gillies wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 828,75 (€ 964,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William George Gillies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Spotted Leopard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.139,09).
