Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Breton Pot by William George Gillies was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,439.51). Admittedly, works by William George Gillies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Spotted Leopard in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,139.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Breton Pot von William George Gillies kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.439,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William George Gillies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Spotted Leopard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.139,09).
