Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The New Road by Roger de Grey was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in June 2001. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,561.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Roger de Grey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dongeon in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,975.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The New Road von Roger de Grey wurde im Juni 2001 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.561,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger de Grey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dongeon im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.975,41).
