Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Studies of a lady wearing a hat by Robert Ponsonby Staples. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 352.50 (€ 576.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Ponsonby Staples achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the beach, Broadstairs, Kent in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 21,510.00 (€ 33,684.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studies of a lady wearing a hat von Robert Ponsonby Staples zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 352,50 (€ 576,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Ponsonby Staples erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the beach, Broadstairs, Kent im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.510,00 (€ 33.684,95).
