Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price

The work Performing Dog No.2 by Quentin Blake was worth GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,409.39) to a buyer in October this year. This price was achieved in the auction Making a MarkA Fundraising Sale for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Quentin Blake have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand High Witch in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,242.70).

Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert

Die Arbeit Performing Dog No.2 von Quentin Blake war einem Käufer im Oktober diesen Jahres GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.409,39) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Making a MarkA Fundraising Sale for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration bei Bonhams in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Quentin Blake auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grand High Witch im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.242,70).
