Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Hayter could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Studies Made At The General Court of The Equitable Society On The 18Th And 20Th December, 1849 (One Illustrated) changed hands for GBP 36.00 (€ 52.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Hayter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Charlotte, Countess de la Bourdonnaye (1795-1875), Full-Length, In A Green Dress, Seated On A Day Bed On A Terrace, A Dog On Her Lap, Before A Draped Curtain, With An Extensive Landscape Beyond in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 46,800.00 (€ 69,360.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Hayter konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Studies Made At The General Court of The Equitable Society On The 18Th And 20Th December, 1849 (One Illustrated) für GBP 36,00 (€ 52,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Hayter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Charlotte, Countess de la Bourdonnaye (1795-1875), Full-Length, In A Green Dress, Seated On A Day Bed On A Terrace, A Dog On Her Lap, Before A Draped Curtain, With An Extensive Landscape Beyond im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.800,00 (€ 69.360,56).
